Why does Sleepytroll have a built-in timer?

Sleepytroll is not designed to keep a baby asleep for long periods of time, but rather to assist in soothing your little one and helping them drift off to sleep or stay asleep when motion stops. Babies typically sleep in cycles of around 40 minutes, and Sleepytroll is meant to support them through these natural sleep phases.

For Gen 2 version (Beige): When used manually via the buttons, Sleepytroll rocks for up to 60 minutes at a time. When used with the app, the rocking duration can be extended to up to 180 minutes, giving you more flexibility depending on your baby’s needs

For Gen 1 version (Blue): Sleepytroll rocks for 40 minutes at a time before automatically turning off.
